The fire threat is forecast to be high to extremely high on Friday due to a combination low humidity, gusty winds and tinder dry conditions.

Atlanta is in severe to extreme drought according to the latest drought monitor. A fast moving cold front will cause the winds to gust up to 30 mph and that will fan any flames get started.
