Parts of Fulton, DeKalb and Gwinnett Counties are under a flash flood warning until noon Wednesday.

The National Weather Service issued the warning as tropical moisture falls all around the city of Atlanta. Anyone traveling along I-20 heading East will be running into this rain.

Very heavy rain is falling over the northern part of the city. Rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the warned areas.

According to the National Weather Service, some locations that will experience flooding include Atlanta, Lawrenceville, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Dunwoody, Duluth, Snellville, Lilburn, Chamblee, Norcross, Doraville, Clarkston, Stone Mountain, Berkeley Lake, Pine Lake, Tucker, North Decatur, North Atlanta, North Druid Hills and Druid Hills.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
