We are tracking 2 waves of rain moving through. The first wave is bringing general moderate to heavy rain with limited lightning. The second wave comes in this evening with the area of low pressure. That system will have some isolated stronger storms. It has a cold upper level core, which means that hail is the main risk along with some strong winds. The tornado risk is on the low end.

The Storm Prediction Center places much of our area and north Georgia in the "marginal" risk for severe storms. That is level 1 out of 5. That means, we will have a low risk chance for some isolated strong thunderstorms. The risk for severe weather is on the low end.

The rain will begin to move out late this evening. We will seeing improving conditions Friday. Clouds will decrease with breezy conditions. Temperatures will move up to 70 degrees.

The weekend looks great. We will have mostly sunny skies Saturday and Sunday. Highs will be near 73 on Saturday and 72 on Sunday.

The dry pattern will persist into next week. It will remain mostly sunny Monday through Wednesday with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
