The snow flurries are ending this morning.  The focus now is on the cold conditions. Temperatures are starting in the low 20s in the metro area and and teens to the north. Some of the roads will have some slick spots as black ice forms. Be careful.
There is a winter weather advisory in effect until 7PM for north Georgia.  The counties in the advisory are Dade, Walker, Chatooga, Catoosa, Whitfield, Murray, Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Dawson, Lumpkin, Floyd, Bartow, Cherokee, Pickens, Gordon and White.

We also have a wind advisory in effect for north Georgia.  It will feel like it's between -5 and 5 degrees in extreme north Georgia when you factor in the wind.  In the metro area, we are not in the advisory.  However, we will have wind chills in the lower teens.  The clouds will break up and the sunshine will return Wednesday.  Our high will only get up to 38 degrees.  The wind will make it feel like it's in the 20s all day.

We begin to warm up a little more Thursday and Friday afternoon.  It will be chilly again for the weekend.  We are watching another system moving in on Monday that will give us the possibility of some winter weather.  We will keep an eye on that and let you know if the threat level goes up.
