After a restless and very loud night, some Georgia residents are waking up to no power.
Georgia EMC and Georgia Power collectively have over 26,000 customers who are experiencing power outages.
Georgia EMC stated in a media release that high winds caused trees to topple onto power lines and block roadways.
"Much of today's work will involve removing trees so crews can access damaged areas and begin restoring service."
