Yes, it will snow on Tuesday. Here's where.

Winter weather advisory has been issued ahead of a new system of moisture.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory that includes most of the metro Atlanta area. The northern areas of Georgia should see snow between noon on Tuesday into 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday with snow accumulations of up to an inch, possibly a little more than an inch.

Metro Atlanta will start to see snow between 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday and could accumulate up to 1/2 an inch of snow.

FORECAST | Tracking snow on the way

Much of north Georgia and all metro counties are under the winter weather advisory.

Accumulation with the system is expected to be low, with only a few extreme northwest counties and west Georgia counties seeing anything more than 1".

Also, if you plan to leave your house during this arctic blast, be sure to bundle up because Georgia has also issued a wind chill advisory which means the cold temperatures plus wind will make things even more chilly. Make sure to wear gloves and scarves.

TIMELINE | When to expect snowfall in metro Atlanta

Regardless, temperatures are expected to be bitterly cold overnight, and 11Alive StormTrackers warn that any precipitation could create road hazards for Wednesday morning.
