ATLANTA -- Thousands of folks defied the chance of rain to help metro Atlantans in need, Sunday.
The massive group ran or walked through downtown during the 32nd Annual Hunger Walk.
Participants of all ages helped raise money for the Atlanta Community Food Bank and five other local nonprofits that feed the hungry.
Organizers said folks not having enough to eat is more common than most might think.
Musicians and performers along the route helped encourage the walkers and runners.
11Alive's Brenda Wood emceed the event.
