If you watch the latest hit from Netflix, Stranger Things, you might have noticed something, well, strange. If you make it past the nostalgic 1980's neon news intro, that WIYZ anchor looks strangely like Brenda Wood. Until she disappears.

11Alive anchor Brenda Wood made a cameo appearance in the first episode of Stranger Things. Atlanta was transformed into Hawkins, Indiana for the Netflix series. Just in time for Halloween, Netflix released an extended newscast covering the town's strange happenings.

The makers of the newscast describe it as "Stranger than your typical evening headlines, Brenda breaks news of missing teen Barb Holland and gives an update on the vagrant juvenile who stole an “unprecedented amount” of Eggo waffles from a local grocery store in recently released news segment."
