By The Numbers Week of November 27

Patrick explains why more employers are catching on to Boomerang workers.

In this edition of By The Numbers, Patrick Crosby looks at which occupations in Georgia promise the highest wage growth, and delves into what the term “Boomerang Employee” is all about.

The U.S. will post an average wage growth of 2.7% this year.

Some industries are on tap to do more than that.

The increased demand for high skilled workers is a primary driving force behind the boost in wages.

The more technology reliant our society becomes, the greater the need for highly trained talent.

An official with the international staffing firm Robert Half points to the need for employers to retain expensive talent since replacement costs can run high and ultimately bleed a company’s bottom lines.

Robert Half commissioned a report in 2014 that looked at employee satisfaction with their jobs.

It found that the top three reasons employees leave jobs are:  Inadequate salary and benefits, limited opportunities for advancement; and unhappiness with management.
