Executive Profiles Week of October 2

Arby's CEO Paul Brown gives us a taste of what it takes to run a legacy brand.

To pull a quote from the film Forrest Gump, “Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."  Some could say the same thing when it comes to careers.  You prepare yourself the best you can and when the opportunity arises, you perform.  Where things go from there is anyone’s guess.

Paul Brown certainly didn’t expect he would one day go from working as a software engineer to serving as CEO of the Arby’s Restaurant Group.  He did expect, however, to make the most out of every opportunity that came his way.

David Rubinger talks with this branding guru about taking a legacy fast food brand and retooling it for a 21st century market, and utilizing strategy and serendipity to the full advantage in social media.
