ATLANTA -- 11-year-old Valaria Fenderson is battling sickle cell anemia and is in need of a bone marrow transplant.
11Alive is teaming up with BE A MATCH, a National Donor Program, to find Valaria that match.
We are dedicating a full day at Spelman College to bring students from Spelman, Clark-Atlanta and Morehouse together with the community to find a match and help make Valaria's vibrant future a reality.
The test is just a simple swab and they will begin at 10 a.m. and run through 7:30 p.m. at the Spelman Lower Manley Student Center and outside at the College's monthly "Market Friday" event.
Parking is available on the Spelman College deck, just inside the entrance gate.
