ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Some some young ladies who donated their hair to Locks of Love truly are joining the Hero Central Army.
A metro Atlanta woman and her two daughters organized the "it's just hair cut-a-thon" six years ago.
The mother says they started it when one of her daughters was diagnosed with alopecia when she was 3-years old.
She lost half of her hair, but it has since grown back, and now she is one of the donors.
And she got several friends to join in.
