ATLANTA -- It's mission accomplished, and more, for a new summer lunch program.
You may remember 11Alive News teamed up with Action Ministries to make 400 sandwiches for children in need back in June.
Smart Lunch, Smart Kid had a goal of making 100,000 lunches over the summer.
It did that and more, with a total of 117,000 in 18 cities in Georgia.
The healthy lunches helped fill the void left by school lunch programs in the summer months.
Hundreds of volunteers and donations made all the difference.
