WXIA-TV, the Gannett-owned NBC affiliate in Atlanta, is looking for a skilled storyteller who can tell emotional stories through pictures and sounds. This photojournalist should be an N.P.P.A member and award winner. Position will work with a team of journalists charged with bringing emotion back into local newscasts. If your strength is fires, shootings and car accidents this isn't the job for you. We are looking for a photojournalist who can work on stories by him/herself and also work with some of the best writers/reporters in the business. The position is charged with capturing the visual images to accompany a news story, edit the video, suggest story ideas and assist on special projects.
Requirements: At least five years of experience in telling great stories for a news organization; college degree in journalism or an equivalent combination of education and experience; candidate must be able to work under strict deadlines and have a current valid driver's license and excellent driving history.
