WXIA/WATL-TV in Atlanta, GA is looking for a Digital Content Producer to showcase the content of the networks of 11Alive and engage local communities across all media platforms.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Identify, create and write content for 11Alive.com and partnering websites daily
-Post to and manage social media platforms of 11Alive
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of stories on the site and identify threats and opportunities in user generated content
- React to and post breaking news quickly and accurately and keep in constant communication with the station's news department
- Capture, edit and post still images and video to the site
REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS degree or equivalent
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must have knowledge of Social Media and using it to engage and interact with communities
Must have ability to write quickly, accurately and succinctly under deadline, a sense of humor and a fun, engaging writing style
Previous news producing or digital news writing preferred
Experience with Photoshop and digital video editing a plus
Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time
Must be self-directing, self-motivating and able to work well in a fast paced-environment with a diverse group of people
Must be able to handle stress, including short deadlines
