Atlanta man wins TODAY Treasure Hunt

ATLANTA -- It took Atlanta resident Kevin Howell only a couple minutes to score a free trip to New York City.

Howell, a grocery store employee, is Atlanta's winner of the TODAY Treasure Hunt.

You've seen the massive popularity of @HiddenCash sweep Atlanta. #FreeArtFriday has would-be winners following clues every week. Now, the TODAY Show is taking their social media treasure hunt across the country.

Wednesday morning, Al was at Centennial Olympic Park. He gave away a clue to another Atlanta location.

CLUE 1: For this clue, we will tear a page from ATLANTA'S BOOK. It's been called A DUMP, but the dam will burst when you look for the GIFTED SIGN.

He only needed to reveal one clue before Howell snatched up the coveted prize. Howell told Roker that he was waiting for a bus at the Midtown MARTA station when he heard the information and knew exactly where to go: the nearby Margaret Mitchell House.

Howell received a trip to New York for a behind-the-scenes tour of the TODAY show summer concert series. He decided to attend a Tim McGraw concert.

Watch the moment Kevin discovered the grand prize hiding behind a sign at the Margaret Mitchell House:

Tuesday, a married couple tracked Al's clues in Dallas, Texas. The clue was "Wherefore art this treasure? You've got to keep your eye on this prize as it reaches for the sky, but if you touch it, you'll be read handed." After a first stop at the wrong location, the couple found Al's prize envelope at a red sculpture called "Ave."
