ATLANTA - (November 22, 2011) The Arby's Foundation, Inc. plans to give back to those who are giving this holiday season by providing a complimentary Arby's® lunch to the hardworking volunteers and staff at Turner Field during this year's 11Alive Holiday Can-a-Thon. Supporting the 11Alive Can-a-Thon is one of many ways in which the Foundation is performing its mission to help end childhood hunger in America, because every child deserves to learn, play and grow with access to wholesome food.
"We admire the people who volunteer for this very pressing issue of hunger in America and want to thank and reward them for doing so. Giving and sharing makes people feel good and certainly helps those in need," said Arby's Foundation Executive Director, Kate Atwood. "In our various hunger initiatives, we have been moved by the generosity we have seen in our community and around the nation. We salute the heroic efforts of The Salvation Army and the support that 11Alive provides to them."
On December 2, the Arby's Foundation will be at Turner Field to serve Can-a-Thon volunteers and staff. Arby's Foundation team members and crew will be serving the Arby's classic Roast Beef and Beef 'n Cheddar sandwiches, along with apple slices and strawberry yogurt dip.
