James "Jimmy" Barnett Starting Weight: 318.75

Jimmy was one of the last two members of the Red Team. He only ever faced voting one time, and it was the last week of regular competition. He did not receive enough votes to continue, and after losing 56.75 pounds (17.8 percent of his total body weight), we had to bid him farewell on December 5. We wish him the best.
Jimmy Barnett came to the Atlanta's Biggest Loser auditions weighing 325 pounds, and he also said he has problems with high blood pressure and cholesterol. An athlete in his younger years, Jimmy said he was used to eating whatever he wanted, and as a result, never learned proper eating habits. He actually lost almost seven pounds between his audition and the start of the competition, which is a pretty good start. Jimmy lives in Hiram, and is 45 years old. He has one daughter, and said he hopes the competition helps him be a better role model to her.
Justin Hall
Starting Weight: 273

Justin was one of the bottom two on October 22, and did not receive enough votes to remain in the competition. His total weight loss was 21 pounds. He exited the competition on Friday October 24, and we wish him all the best.
Justin Hall said the first step to solving a problem is to admit that problem; therefore, he came right out and said he has a problem with food. Though he jokes that he is the "healthiest-eating fat person alive", Justin said that his weight has kept certain doors from opening for him, and he wants to make a lifestyle change. As a DJ, he said he needs to get in shape because the places he works -- clubs, events, and parties -- have images to maintain, and he doesn't want his appearance to turn clients off. Justin lives in Atlanta, and is 28 years old.
Scott Cupp Starting Weight: 374.5

Scott was one of the bottom two on November 5, and did not receive enough votes to remain in the competition. His total weight loss was 35.5 pounds. He exited the competition on Friday November 7, and we wish him all the best.
Scott Cupp was raised in Powder Springs, and still lives there to this day. At one point, he said he was up over 400 pounds, and has fought tooth and nail to get down to 375, inspired by NBC's The Biggest Loser. Now he wants to change his life and lose more weight so he can participate in activities with his children -- like hiking, riding roller-coasters, or even just sitting in a small booth at a restaurant. Scott is a leader in his son's Boy Scout troop, and coaches his daughter's soccer team. Scott is 37.
Sylvester Stephens Starting Weight: 367.5

Sylvester was one of the bottom two on November 19, and did not receive enough votes to remain in the competition. His total weight loss was 53 pounds, and he exited the competition on Friday November 21. We wish him all the best.
Sylvester Stephens is 32, a proud husband and a father of five. A former athlete, Sylvester said he has tried every diet and workout plan "known to man" to keep his muscle tone, but when his wife was taken ill, he had to take over the duties of both parents -- going to work and keeping the house in order. With all of those responsibilities, he said he has had trouble getting to the gym and has since experienced health issues of his own as he gained weight. He said he wants to lose 60 pounds, win or lose. Sylvester lives in Atlanta.
Tom Costello Starting Weight: 401.5

Tom was one of the bottom two on October 8, and did not receive enough votes to remain in the competition. His total weight loss was 7.75 pounds. He exited the competition on Friday October 10, and we wish him all the best.
Tom Costello lives in Cumming, and in coming to Atlanta's Biggest Loser, may face one of the most difficult professional challenges of all: he is a chef at a country club, and is around food all day at work. Tom, who is 41, is married and has two daughters, ages five and seven. His younger child, Sarah, is afflicted with Down's Syndrome. He said he's joining the competition because he wants to be there to help his wife, and because he doesn't want to be the "fat dad" who sits on the sidelines and says "maybe next year".
Tommy Uhlis Starting Weight: 241.25

After losing 45.75 pounds -- 18.96 percent of his total body weight -- Tommy faced Tara in the finale of Atlanta's Biggest Loser. He out-lost her by more than 3.5 percent, and on December 13, Tommy was named the winner and Atlanta's Biggest Loser. Congratulations!
Tommy Uhlis is a 30-year-old police sergeant with the Atlanta Police Department. He said that throughout his life he was always known as the chubby kid, and now that he's older, he wants to change that image. He wants to get out of the stereotype of -- in his words -- "the fat cop". He said he often hears snide remarks about his weight from citizens, co-workers, and even his family, and he's had enough. Now, with the support, encouragement, and kindness of his wife, Tommy said he is ready to lose the weight. He lives in Atlanta.

Cheryl Grover Starting Weight: 239

After surviving the bottom two for two weeks, Cheryl did not receive enough votes in her third outing to remain in the competition. Her total weight loss was 13.75 pounds (5.75 percent of her total body weight). She departed on October 31, and we wish her the best.
Cheryl Grover is a 48-year-old who said she's ready to shed her "fat suit". After trying everything from pills to diets, and these days describes her daily exercise as walking down to the mailbox and back -- and that she gets tired out just watching her neighbor across the street mow the lawn. Her daughters have expressed concern at their mother's situation, and now she's tired of it and ready to make a change. After all, she did say her bellybutton hadn't seen the sun in twenty years, and it's time to take action. Cheryl lives in Atlanta.
Erica Whitney Starting Weight: 224

Erica was in the bottom two on November 12. She did not receive enough votes in her second trip to the Atlanta & Company couch to remain in the competition. Her total weight loss was 25.75 pounds (11.5 percent of her total body weight). She departed on November 14, and we wish her the best.
Erica Whitney said that she's battled her weight since grade school, trying diets, pills, workout programs, and trainers. After her recent divorce and some time spent working on her spirituality, she's ready to change what's on the outside. Not only did she say she wants to look good in a bathing suit, but she also said she wants to adopt a child and needs to get healthy so she can keep up with him or her. Finally, she wants to get her cholesterol level down and lower her chance of getting diabetes. Erica is 44, and lives in Atlanta.
Karen Hill Starting Weight: 197.5

Karen only faced the voters one time in Atlanta's Biggest Loser, and it was Thanksgiving Week as one of the two women who could represent the Blue Team in the finals. She did not receive enough votes to continue, and after losing 15.44 percent of her total body weight (30.5 pounds), she left the competition on December 1. We wish her all the best.
Karen Hill faced some tough moments in the past two years, but is ready to ge back on track both in terms of her weight and her self-esteem after spending a lot of time using food as a comfort object or a reward. Though she says she is healthy, she said she needs to work on her muscle tone and get back into the exercise groove. Also, Karen's youngest son is currently serving in Iraq, and she wants him to see a completely different mom when he gets back from overseas. Karen is 52 and lives in Atlanta.
Kim Andrews Starting Weight: 263.5

Kim was one of the bottom two on October 15, and did not receive enough votes to remain in the competition. Her total weight loss was 14.5 pounds. She exited the competition on Friday October 17, and we wish her all the best.
Kim Andrews is a realtor specializing in foreclosure, but asks that no one holds it against her. At age 41, she has decided it's time to make some behavioral and lifestyle changes so she can live to the fullest. Kim also wants to change her life because her parents both died before age 70 -- despite neither smoking nor drinking alcohol -- and she said she doesn't want the same thing to happen to her. She wants to break the cycle of obesity that she said has plagued her family. Kim lives in Atlanta.
Taneya Lassiter Starting Weight: 220.5

Taneya was one of the bottom two on October 1, and did not receive enough votes to remain in the competition. Her total weight loss was 2.75 pounds. She exited the competition on Friday October 3, and we wish her all the best.
Taneya Lassiter's next big adventure after Atlanta's Biggest Loser will be to get married. Her fiancé will be leaving to serve in the U.S. Navy in January, and she said she wants him to see her in shape before he ships out -- her goal is to become a size eight. Taneya said she went to the doctor recently and was told that she is obese and also at risk of developing high blood pressure. She's come to the contest looking to get some help and have some fun. Taneya, a flight attendant, lives in College Park. She is 25.
Tara Schuster Starting Weight: 240

Tara squared off against Tommy in the finale of Atlanta's Biggest Loser. In the end, she lost 15.1 percent of her total body weight -- 36.25 pounds -- but it was not enough to emerge victorious. We congratulate Tara on making it to the final round, and wish her the best in the future.
Tara Schuster is a special education teacher who wants to serve as a role model to everyone at the school where she teaches, many of whom she said already have weight issues. Since starting college, she said she has gained about 90 pounds, and is ready to get that extra push from Atlanta's Biggest Loser to help her get that weight off. She asked to be selected for the contest by saying "pretty please pick me with organic granola and healthy berries on top", which is pretty funny. Tara is 34, and lives in Atlanta.
