About the Competition and the Sponsors
11Alive's Atlanta's Biggest Loser: Moms Edition contest follows twelve local moms competing to lose the greatest percentage of weight over a twelve-week period.

The competition began on Monday February 16, 2009, with twelve contestants divided into rival teams of six. Each team will work out with one of our two fitness partners, The Welch Martial Art Experience or Fitness Together, and throughout the competition, all contestants will receive a free five-days-a-week meal plan from Good Measure Meals.

Every Wednesday on Atlanta & Company (weekdays at 11 a.m.) with hosts Holly Firfer and Tom Sullivan, the Atlanta's Biggest Loser: Moms Edition sponsors will chart the contestants' progress. On alternate Wednesdays, finalists from either the Pink Team or the Brown Team will weigh in, and the two with the lowest percentage loss of body weight will be vulnerable for elimination through on-line voting on www.atlbiggestloser.com (the site you're on right now).

Anyone who entered to become a contestant but was not chosen as a finalist or alternate -- and anyone who didn't enter but still wants to live a healthier, more balanced life -- can sign up to be on the Atlanta's Biggest Loser E-Team. E-Team members get weekly updates, tips, and encouragement to help them reach their own weight loss goals. So sign up and let's get healthy together!

Atlanta's Biggest Loser: Moms Edition is sponsored by 11Alive (WXIA-TV), MomsLikeMe.com, WellStar Health Systems, Good Measure Meals, The Welch Martial Art Experience, and Fitness Together.
