Wiffle ball tourney to raise money for Dunwoody Police

Dunwoody, GA -- Dozens of dads and police officers will compete in the same game they played as kids to raise money for the Dunwoody Police Department.

The 4th Annual Ashford Chase Wiffle Ball Tournament will take place on Saturday, May 10.

Last year, the group raised $2,300 for the Georgia Firefighter's Burn Foundation. This year, the goal is $5,000, and the money will support Dunwoody Police.

The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. at 4723 Ashford Club Drive with opening ceremonies, the National Anthem and the first pitch.

The Ashford Chase team captains will play against a team made up of Dunwoody police officers in an exhibition match at 1:30. Pro sports broadcaster Brian Curtis will call the action from a lifeguard chair behind home plate.

During the tournament, families are welcome to enjoy a mini-festival with raffles and a bounce house.
