That's what fans everywhere were saying on Wednesday, July 2. The same day Bankroll Fresh would have turned 30 years old.

From fellow Atlanta rappers, to fans, the well wishes flooded onto Twitter in honor of the slain rapper. He died more than a year ago after a shootout outside of Street Execs Studio in northwest Atlanta on March 24, 2016.

A year after his death, police released surveillance video of the deadly incident. But still, to this day, investigators are still trying to find the rapper's killer.

Earlier this summer, 11Alive's Neima Abdulahi spoke to Bankroll Fresh's family and those in the rap community who knew him well. For them, especially for his nephew Bankroll PJ, rapping is how they help make sure Fresh is remembered.

“It killed our spirit, but he’s so intelligent that he’s like, we’ve got to make it,” said Quiktrip, a fellow rapper part of the same crew, Street Money Worldwide. “We can’t fail Fresh."
