By The Numbers Week of November 12

It’s agriculture 'urban style,' and a look at the Georgia companies shipping out the most product.

The agriculture industry isn’t just relegated to the rural counties of Georgia.

Many metro Atlanta locations are playing host to many urban farms.

Truly Living Well is an urban farm with sites in East Point, the West End and Southwest Atlanta.

The prodigious operation grows over 30,000 pounds of food yearly that include seasonal vegetables and fruit trees.

A good amount of food products not only feed area residents, but also the world.

Between 2012 and 2017, The Easterlin Pecan Company, out of Montezuma, Georgia, has exported $492 million worth of product.

That makes it the top export company by value in the state.

Georgia exports have increased by 52 percent over the past decade resulting in an economic impact of $35.6 billion.
