CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – The Bartow County Fire Department has a special honorary firefighter on duty.

BCFD is honoring James Raugh, a 4-year-old boy who died in a recent house fire in South Carolina. His father and sisters, one and three-years-old, also lost their lives in the blaze.

James always dreamed of being a firefighter, so BCFD is making his dream come true.

His family requested that fire departments across the country have James ‘On Duty’ until his funeral on Friday, according to the post.

And BCFD delivered.

On Thursday night, the department had James on duty with every engine and ladder company with the department.

Various other fire departments across the country are honoring James on social media using #JRaughOnDuty.
