STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga - The FBI is asking for help in identifying a bank robbery suspect with a cause who struck two banks in an hour.
On Monday, October 30, a woman attempted to rob a Wells Fargo bank located at 6063 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain, Ga at 10 a.m.
She showed the teller a demand note displayed on her phone. When the teller refused to give her any money, the woman left the bank, and, police say, she and her getaway driver drove south, about 20 miles, to Ellenwood.
At 11 a.m., according to the FBI, the same woman entered an Associated Credit Union that was located at 5032 Old Grant Rd., in Ellenwood, just off of I-675 and Forest Parkway. Clayton County Police said the woman showed the teller a written note claiming she was wearing a bomb that would go off at any moment, and that she was robbing the bank "for the movement" and "for the streets."
The teller handed over cash, and police said the woman then told the teller she would pray for her, and reminded the teller that the bomb would go off at any time.
Police said she and her getaway driver left in a silver or gold Lexus or Toyota.
The suspect is described as being a black woman, late 20s to mid 30s, approximately 5'7" in height, slender build, long black hair, wearing a black coat, black wool cap, black sunglasses, black gloves, black boots and a dark colored messenger bag.
