FAA lifts ground stop at Hartsfield-Jackson

The Federal Aviation Administration says there is a ground stop at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport for all inbound and outbound flights due to the severe weather in and around the Atlanta area.

The Federal Aviation Administration has lifted the ground stop at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. There was a ground stop earlier in the day on Wednesday for all inbound and outbound flights due to the severe weather in and around the Atlanta area.

With additional heavy weather and possible delays, more ground stops are not out of the question.

Travelers should check with their airlines before heading to the airport.
