TROUP COUNTY, Ga. -- Authorities are continuing to search for a 75-year-old woman missing for several days.
According to the Troup County Sheriff's Office, Carol Evans was last seen at her home on Lower Lovelace Road in West Point, Ga., around 2 p.m. on Friday. Authorities believe it's possible that she left her house by foot and never returned.
Evans suffers from the late stages of a "altered mental state" and "does have times of confusion as to where she is", according to the sheriff's office.
Dozens of first-responders and volunteers used ATVs, K-9s, helicopters and drones to search for Evans, but to no avail. The teams will resume their search on Monday.
Anyone who sees Evans is asked to call 911.
