ATLANTA — Why did the jury want to sit in the SUV with the gun Thursday?
That’s the question people following the Tex McIver murder trial are asking tonight.
McIver shot and killed his wife inside that SUV in September 2016. He says it was an accident. Prosecutors say it was murder.
The experts on both sides disagreed about the possible position of the gun when it was fired. So it is possible the jury wanted to see for themselves how the gun could have been held by McIver.
All this is happening in the middle of deliberations. The jury got the case late on Tuesday and still have not reached a verdict.
