A Democratic candidate for Georgia governor was shouted down during her address to Netroots Nation in Atlanta on Saturday.

State Rep. Stacey Evans was attempting to speak to the gathering when a group of protestors interrupted.

Evans and state Rep. Stacey Abrams are seeking the Democratic nomination in next year’s governor’s race to succeed Gov. Nathan Deal, who cannot run for reelection.

Abrams spoke to the organization on Thursday.

Former Vice President Al Gore addressed the conference on Saturday afternoon.

Netroots Nation bills itself as America's leading annual progressive conference. Besides Gore, other speakers who had already appeared were U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren; U.S. Rep. Barbara Lee; and U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, among others.
