No more turkeys under the Gold Dome, new campaign ad says

Buzz Brockway has released another holiday-themed campaign ad, this one with a turkey and a pig.

Fresh off a Halloween-themed campaign commercial in which he told a zombie that “dead people can’t vote,” Secretary of State hopeful Buzz Brockway has released a new ad where he is talking to a turkey.

The hopeful turkey is sitting across from Brockway’s desk, and, in turkey-speak, tells Brockway he wants to run for office.

“I’m sorry, but turkeys can’t run for office in Georgia,” Brockway replies.

“But I hear there’s already a few turkeys at the state capitol,” the turkey replies.

“You have a point,” Brockway says, “but …”

“This Thanksgiving we can all be grateful our state government isn't run like Washington D.C., but we definitely don't need any more turkeys under the Gold Dome,.” Brockway said.

Brockway released this ad in October.

Brockway was first elected to the State House of Representatives in 2010.

Brockway is one of four Republicans who have announced candidacies to replace Brian Kemp, who is running for governor. Other GOP hopefuls are Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle, state Rep. Brad Raffensperger and state Sen. Josh McKoon.

Democrats R.J. Hadley, former state Rep. Dee Dawkins-Haigler and former U.S. Rep. John Barrow have also announced their intentions to run.
