ORLANDO, Fla. – Class of 2019 defensive back Travis Jay is starting to see his recruiting process take flight. The 6-foot-2, 181-pound cornerback already holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Miami and Tennessee.

A few of those schools are already standing out to him.

“The schools that have really been talking to me lately are Louisville, Florida State, Georgia, Alabama, and UCF,” Jay said. “I think I have some upcoming offers, but those [schools] have been talking to me.”'

Georgia has been successful recruiting the state of Florida with Kirby Smart at the helm.

“I got it [offer] I think two or three weeks ago,” Jay said. “I can’t remember his name but he had called me and he liked my film and the way I play, and felt like I was a fit for them so he offered me.”

What has the Bulldogs in the mix for the three-star Florida defensive back?

“The coaches are talking to me, they have a good coaching staff, they have a good team and that is what I want to be on,” Jay answered.

Georgia will have a chance to make it’s pitch when Jay visits in a couple weeks.

“I think [a visit will happen] on spring break,” Jay said. “Two weeks from now”

Jay does not plan on making a decision anytime in the near future, but what is he looking for when he does make his choice?

“Just a good environment,” Jay said. “A school welcoming me into their home and just becoming a family.”
