Frank Martin's tirade about parents coaching from stands is going viral

Frank Martin is one of the most passionate coaches in college basketball. But when he watches his own kids on the court, he doesn't say a word.

Frank Martin is a passionate coach.

But when it comes to watching his own kids play basketball, the South Carolina head coach sits back and lets the coaches do their jobs.

That's what we've learned from a video on social media that's gone viral in the last 24 hours. A reporter asked Martin about some of his Tweets where he's mentioned watching other parents scold officials at 9-year-old basketball games.

His response points out the absurdity in parents coaching from the stands and creating a scene with referees and coaches. His opinion is pretty justified considering he's an experienced basketball coach. He took the Gamecocks to the Final Four last year.

But if his kids have a problem with their coach or the game, he tells them to go talk to their coach about why they are not playing. He doesn't make a scene in front of others. Instead, he distinguishes between his role as a dad and a coach.
