This evening we have a moderate risk for severe for thunderstorms in NW GA. This is the second highest threat for severe weather issued by the Storm Prediction Center with an increased threat for significant tornadoes.

Severe thunderstorms are more likely late tonight as a cold front approaches our area. All eyes will be to our NW counties. Frequent lightning, Hail, strong winds, and possible Tornadoes will be the main threats.


Showers will linger into Tuesday morning. Showers will continue during the afternoon as a second cold front will move through the area. This front will bring cooler weather our way for Wednesday and Thursday.
