We are in the height of grilling season and there are some good sales out there as well.. But which grill is the best?
Consumer Reports ranked gas grills that have room for 18 or fewer burgers and found top performers in a variety of price ranges.
In the Small Grill category three Weber Models were top rated: the Weber Spirit E-220 got an overall score of 77 and was priced at $450. The Weber Sprit E-210 also got a 77 and was priced at $400 and the Weber Spirit S-210 got a 77 as well at a price of $450. The Broilermate 165154 received the next best rating of 72 and was priced at only $200.
Two Weber grills also topped the Medium Grill category: The Weber Spirit SP-320 scored an 81 at $600 and the Weber Spirit SP-310 also got an 81 but cost less at $550. In third place and a Consumer Reports Best Buy was a Char Broil Grill 463250511. It was rated nearly as high at 78 and priced at only $400. Medium grills have room for 18 to 28 burgers.
For Large Grills that have room for at least 28 burgers the Napoleon Prestige was the top rated model with a score of 76 but it costs $2600! In second place with a score of 76 was the Kenmore Elite 3558 at with a score of 76 and price tag of $1600, The Consumer Reports Best Buy was the third place finisher, the Kenmore 16136 at only $600 with a score of 75.
Consumer Reports looked at features such as preheating, temperature range and quality of construction, among other things.
