Southeastern Conference delays TV network announcement

ATLANTA -- The Southeastern Conference and ESPN have delayed the expected press conference Tuesday in Atlanta due to the explosions at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

A new announcement date has yet to be scheduled.

The new network is scheduled to begin airing SEC sporting events in August.

The SEC is the latest major NCAAconference to create its own network. The Big Ten and Pac-12 make a reported $250 million per year from TV revenue.
