MARIETTA, GA -- Hundreds of angry students and parents took to the streets outside a Marietta high school Wednesday to protest cuts.

Students at Osborne High School walked out at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, while school was still in session.

By and large it was a peaceful gathering, with students holding up homemade signs.

Authorities, however, took a 15-year-old into custody after police say he tossed a firecracker into the large crowd.

The school district has its own police force, but also contacted Cobb County Police for assistance with crowd control.
