ATLANTA--On the business beat, our focus is on an airfare sale, debit cards and cell phone minutes.

Another airfare sale from discounter Air Tran this morning.

You can use the 10 day advance purchase tickets through May 18 for travel to the Carrier's West Coast destinations and Las Vegas and until June 22 for all other destinations.

You have until Thursday Midnight to buy the tickets.

Watch for blackout dates.

Go for early morning or late evening flights for the most availability.

And the customer paying the price this morning for new legislation that cuts the fee a bank gets every time you use your debit card.

It's coming from Wells Fargo.

They are cutting out the Debit Card rewards program for new customers as of April 15th.

For now, if you are already in the program, your rewards will continue.
Reason for the cutback--under new rules the banks will only get .12 for every transition you complete with your debit card.

Up to now, they've been getting from 1% to2%--a big difference.

And free wireless service this morning from Sprint for low income families.
They are calling the program ASSURANCE WIRELESS.
It will provide a free cell phone and 250 minutes of monthly wireless service to eligible low income families.

Contact Sprint for eligibility and details.
