On the Business Beat our focus is on the Tablet PC war heating up, and competition going skyward this morning to get your business for that Tablet.
Making a rather unique attempt to get customers--Samsung Mobile.
They have made a deal with American Airlines for passengers to use the new Galaxy Tablet PC as their entertainment hub on selected domestic and international flights.
All told, American will have 6,000 Galaxies for passengers to use.
And this note---The Samsung Galaxy goes on sale to the general public this morning.
And keep an eye out for smaller versions of superstores from Wal-Mart and Target.
Wal-Mart is now opening its first Wal-Mart Express and the giant discount chain plans 15 more in Arkansas, North Carolina and Illinois.
Watch for the in Georgia.
Also on the way, smaller Target stores called CityTargets.
The Minneapolis based chain plans to open its CityTargets in existing downtown buildings rather than in shopping malls.
And here is something that may surprise you.
Who is using social networking?
Almost half are adults over the age of 35, while just 16% are ages 16 to 22.
A survey just out shows that since 2008 social networking has nearly doubled and it's attracting older users.
Face book leads the field with 157-million visitors, while Twitter has 27-million.
