Heather Bonner's Crock-Pot Chicken Parmesan.

Dacula: Heather Bonner loves couponing.  She loves it so much that she started Clipping For A Cause to benefit charities by buying them food using coupons to get extraordinary deals.  We asked her to make a large elaborate meal that would feed her family of five for very little money.  She included spaghetti, Texas Toast, salad dressing and Chicken Parmesan.  And she only spent $10 dollars to do it!  She shows us how to make her Crock-pot chicken parmesan.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

(3) chicken breasts cut in halves

(1) Cup of Italian bread crumbs

(1) 15-ou can of Dei Fratelli Pizza Sauce

(1/4) teaspoon of pepper

(1) teaspoon of salt

(2) cups of mozzarella cheese

(1/2) cup of grated parmesan cheese

(2-4) Tablespoons of butter

(1) egg

Beat egg together with pepper and salt. Dip chicken breast halves into egg mixture and transfer into a bowl of Italian bread crumbs. Coat both sides of the chicken really well with the bread crumbs. Melt about 2 Tablespoons of butter into a non-stick frying pan. Transfer the breaded chicken into the pan, cooking over medium heat. Before turning the chicken, add another tablespoon or two of the butter on the top to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan. After both sides are brown, transfer the chicken into a crock pot. Pour the pizza sauce over the top and cook on low for 6-8 hours. In the last 15 minutes, open the crock pot and cover the chicken parmesan with the mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Cook until melted. Serve with garlic bread, salad and a side of spaghetti.
