Greer met with Hall at a posh Maui resort where she and her husband have been on vacation for two weeks, 4,000 miles away, but still within earshot of the national scandal that has dominated headlines back home.
"I absolutely knew nothing about the cheating," Hall told Greer.
Hall panned most questions under the advice of her attorney, but the meeting constitutes the first time Hall answered any questions about the scandal that has embroiled her former school system.
Greer: I want to ask you, people are very, very upset back home. People were saying that you absolutely had to know cheating was going on. Are you still standing by your statement?"
Hall: "I will have no other comment than what I issued on Sunday but I absolutely knew nothing about cheating."
Greer: "People in Atlanta, folks concerned, folks are losing their jobs, schools are in real trouble right now as they're starting back. People want to hear from you, though, what do you have to say about what's going on back in Atlanta?"
Hall: "Well as you know I'm on a planned trip and at this time I have no further comment. I issued a statement that was printed in the AJC, and at this time have absolutely no furher comment."

Greer: Saw the statement. You apologized for this happening on your watch. Any further comments about what you said in that statement?"
Hall: "The statement stands for itself. I really have no further comment."
Greer: "Do you feel bad about what's going on? Are you willing to give back some of your bonuses? That's a big question now."
Hall: "Again, no further comment, and I'd like to leave it at that."
Greer: "Dr. Hall, I'd like to thank you for your time and I appreciate it."
Hall: "Thank you."
