Dennis Allaben, 46, of Tucker is charged with murdering his wife.
DORAVILLE, Ga. -- A Doraville man has been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of murdering his wife.
Dennis Allaben, 47, was convicted Thursday of killing his wife, Maureen, in their home on Jan. 3, 2010. She had been a set decorator for BET's "The Mo'Nique Show."
Allaben later drove his two young children to a relative's home in Chesterfield, Va. with his wife's body in the bed of their truck. He returned to Georgia after dropping off the children.
"This was a senseless and malicious murder of a beloved mother, daughter and sister," said DeKalb County DA Robert James. "We hope that Maureen's family and friends can find closure in today's verdict."
