FOREST PARK, Ga. -- Forest Park Police say they have arrested a father who kidnapped his four children in September and took them to Mexico.

Francisco Madrigal was spotted in the area of Rock Cut Road and Moreland Avenue Thursday morning. Police found him there and took him into custody.

Detectives said Madrigal took his children -- 12-year-old Jose Javier Madrigal, 10-year-old Francisco Benjamin Madrigal, 9-year-old Michael Allen Madrigal and 6-year-old Geneicey Madrigal -- to Mexico and left them with their grandmother.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued a Levi's Call for the four kids shortly after their mother discovered they were gone.

Forest Park Police Major Chris Matson said a domestic issue reportedly sparked the kidnapping.

Police said Francisco has shown some violent behavior in the past, and as a result, the children were considered to be in danger.

The children were returned unharmed to their mother on Oct. 12.
