ACWORTH, Ga. -- Divers are still searching Allatoona Lake for a wheelchair-bound 68-year-old who fell in the water over the weekend.
Authorities said Tommy Moore of Plainfield, Ind. was at the lake for a family reunion, when the wheelchair somehow rolled off a rental boat or ramp near Park Marina on Saturday afternoon.
Sgt. Mike Barr of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said there were about 20 people on the boat, and two of them jumped in immediately but weren't able to find him.
DNR Cpl. Clifton Cox told The Daily Tribune News that divers recovered the wheelchair, leading them to believe that Moore was somehow able to free himself.
His body, however, remains missing.
