What's happening on 11-11-11?
An unprecedented Celebration of Kindness & Service is taking place on 11-11-11. It involves bringing together school children, teachers, parents, businesses, members of the U.S. Armed Services and veterans from all across Georgia. We'll unfurl the chain links of Kindness & Compassion you've been working on for months now, in a remarkable display of music, moving messages and special tributes. We'll also salute the dedication and commitment of our servicemen and women in what will be Georgia's largest Veterans Day event of its kind.

Where is the 11-11-11 event?
Our 11-11-11 event is at the Georgia Dome.

What time does it begin?
Our Celebration of Kindness & Service is from 10am to 12pm.
The 10am - 11am hour is dedicated to Rachel's Challenge.
The 11am - 12pm hour is dedicated to Veterans Day.

Does it cost anything to attend?
It's free!

How do I get tickets?
Tickets are now available at metro Atlanta Home Depot stores.

Do I still need to register?
You only need to register if you're a school or business.

What if my school is registered to attend the 11-11-11 event, but can't make the rehearsal the day before?

What are the details of the rehearsal?
Rehearsal is for schools only.
It's being held at the Georgia Dome the day before 11-11-11, on November 10 at 1pm.
It's very important you bring your chain links with you on this day!
You'll arrive at the Georgia Dome loading dock. That's near the intersection of Ivan Allen Boulevard & Northside Drive. Turn at the guard shack at the entrance to the Georgia World Congress Center service road. Drive between the rows of loading docks until the service road dead ends at a yellow swing gate and a second small guard shack. This is the entrance to the Dome loading dock. The Security officer can direct you to the dock to unload your chain links of Kindness & Compassion. Volunteers will be there to receive your chain and get it safely inside. You'll then proceed to the rehearsal.

Do I have to be part of a school to attend?
Anyone can attend our 11-11-11 Celebration of Kindness & Service!
Schools and businesses pre-registered for the event.
However, individuals, groups of friends or church groups everyone is welcome.

Is there a limit to how many people can attend?
Yes, there are a limited number of tickets available at Metro Atlanta Home Depot stores.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Where do I park? What's the cost?
Public parking at the Georgia Dome is located in the Red Deck for $10 per space. That's at the intersection of Andrew Young International Boulevard & Centennial Olympic Park Drive.
You can also park in the Brown Lot for $10 per space. That's on Mangum Street.

Is there special parking for school buses?
Yes, there is special parking for school buses, and there is no cost.
Once your school is registered, an information packet will be delivered to your school with more specific parking details.

Can students bring their own lunches?
Students can bring their own lunches, but they can't eat them inside the Georgia Dome.
We recommend they eat them on the school bus before entering the Dome.
If students choose to buy food from concession stands at the Dome, they can eat that food inside the Dome.

Can I buy food at the Georgia Dome?
You can buy food from concession stands inside the Georgia Dome.
Concession items will only be available in designated areas.

What about diabetic students with special dietary needs?
A school nurse/teacher will be able to bring in a bag with insulin and snacks for diabetic students.

Can I bring a backpack into the Georgia Dome?
Backpacks, book bags or any other similar, large bags are NOT allowed inside the Georgia Dome.
If you bring one on 11-11-11 you will NOT be allowed inside.
Teachers can bring clipboards.
Women can bring a purse.

Are cell phones allowed inside the Georgia Dome?
Cell phones are allowed, but you'll be asked to "silence" them during the program.

How do I get my chain link of Kindness & Compassion to the Georgia Dome?
For schools, we ask that you bring your chain link on rehearsal day, November 10 at 1pm.
For everyone else, please bring your chain link on the day of the event. Our volunteers will instruct you what to do with it.

If I can't attend the 11-11-11 event, can I still take part?
Don't worry if you can't make it out to the Georgia Dome on 11-11-11, you can watch it live on WXIA-TV.
We'll also stream it live on www.11Alive.com.

What if I've made a chain link of Kindness & Compassion, I can't make it to the Georgia Dome, yet I want my chain included in the ceremony?
In that case, you can drop off your chain link to the Georgia Dome on rehearsal day, November 10th at 1pm.
