Build-A-Bear's Colorful Hearts teddy bear (CPSC)
ATLANTA (WXIA) -- Popular toy chain Build-A-Bear Workshop is recalling more than 300,000 teddy bears from the US and Canada.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the black plastic eyes of the Colorful Hearts Teddy bear could loosen and fall out, posing a choking hazard to children.
The toy, a white bear with colorful hearts all over it, was sold from April through December for $18 at their shops in the US and Canada, as well as on their website, www.buildabear.com.
Anyone who has the bear is advised to take it back to any Build-A-Bear store to get a coupon for any available stuffed bear from Build-A-Bear. Questions about the bear or the recall should be directed to Build-A-Bear at 866-236-5683, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Build-A-Bear has five locations in Metro Atlanta: North Point Mall in Alpharetta, Mall at Stonecrest in Lithonia, Mall of Georgia in Buford, Arbor Place in Douglasville and Town Center at Cobb in Kennesaw.
