  • DECATUR, Ga. -- Alexsondria Perez White is 11Alive's Fugitive of the Week for Jan. 11, 2012.

The 27-year-old Decatur man is wanted by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Fugitive Squad on outstanding warrants for violating probation, giving police a false name and obstructing officers.

White's troubles started back on Feb. 22, 2008 when he walked into the Elegancer Barber Shop on Candler Road and shot two men. White was convicted of two counts of aggravated assault in the shooting and was sentenced to serve two years in jail and then eight years on probation.

On Nov. 22, 2011 White's girlfriend called police to report a domestic dispute. Akilah Ward told police she and White got into an argument and White bit her right pinky finger. She also had black eyes and swollen lips. A warrant for battery was issued for White. He was also wanted for violating his probation.

On Dec. 31, 2011, a car driven by Ward was stopped by Decatur police on Barry Street because it had an expired tag.

Alexsondria White was a passenger in the vehicle. When Decatur police questioned him, he gave them a fake name. When the officer questioned him, White fought with cops and then ran.

"Clearly his motivation is not to go back to jail," DeKalb County Sheriff Thomas Brown said. "He's somewhat desperate, so you don't know what he might do to anyone to continue to conceal his location and his identity. He shot two people, he's hurt a former girlfriend and he's fought with police officers."

Sheriff Brown said White is probably still in the Atlanta area.

"We know all his relatives and close friends and I'm sure we have checked those locations so he knows we're looking for him," he said.

But you don't have to put yourself in danger if you know where he is. You can go to Rowson's Crime Scene and link to Crime Stoppers Atlanta for tips. You can also call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).

White will be featured on Rowson's Crime Scene, along with other Fugitives of the Week who are on the run and those who have been captured.
