Atlanta - You may be wary of taking a cruise after the Costa Concordia disaster, but if you're not you could get a great deal for this summer.  Amid stock declines and a lot of bad press, experts say the cruise industry as a whole may soon have to offer deep discounts to fill their ships.

January through March is called Wave Season in the world of Cruising.  The investment research firm Paragon reports that may not be the case this year as travelers shy away from cruising in the wake of the the Concordia disaster.  PHOTO Gallery: Concordia Disaster

As stocks are being downgraded there could be an upside for adventurous travelers.  Cruise expert Lawton Roberts says look for discounts cruises within the next month or so, especially to the Meditteranean.

If you are planning a cruise he recommends you buy third party travel insurance, not from the cruise line.

For the really daring we found some huge discounts on Costa Cruiselines.  Cruises to the Western Mediterranean are down to as low as 100 dollars a night.  For more information on Costa deals go theirwebsite: www.costacruise.com
