Flushing, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Mets signed free agent infielder Matt Tuiasosopo on Friday.

Tuiasosopo, 25, played sparingly in three major league seasons for the Seattle Mariners between 2008-10 and hit .176 with 15 runs batted in over 71 games.

He played 116 games for Seattle's Triple-A Tacoma affiliate last year, batting .226 with 14 home runs and 77 RBI.
