A group of Iowa State Unversity students who were struggling to make ends meet came up with a website that is now popular nationwide.
Chegg.com sells new textbooks but also gives students the option of renting the book or purchasing a less expensive E-book.
A new textbook that retails for $229 can be rented for just over $51 dollars. The e-reader version is about $99.
Students can also sell back textbooks at Chegg.com at the end of the semester.
