CAMARILLO, Calif. -- The average price of a gallon of gasoline has jumped 18 cents over the past two weeks.

That's according to the Lundberg Survey of fuel prices, which puts the price of a gallon of regular at $3.69 nationwide.

Analyst Trilby Lundberg says rising crude oil prices is the main factor driving the increase. The near-month contract for the benchmark grade crude closed at just under $110 a barrel last week, and Lundberg says if oil prices stay that high, pump prices could go even higher.

Midgrade costs an average of $3.83 a gallon, and premium is at $3.95.

Of the cities surveyed, Denver has the nation's lowest average price for gas at $3.07. San Diego has the highest at $4.24.
