ATLANTA -- There was a special delivery in the skies above Africa this week.
A woman began going into labor during a Delta flight from Africa to Atlanta.
The Delta crew, including flight attendant Susan Carnes, quickly sprang into action and helped the woman deliver her baby boy.
"She was incredible, because she's in a public place," Carnes said of the new mother.
The flight attendant added that everyone aboard the plane watched as she comforted the woman during labor.
"And I just held (the baby) up and I said, 'It's a boy!'" she said.
An OB-GYN who happened to be on the flight helped Carnes deliver the baby as the plane made an emergency landing in the west African country of Senegal.
Both mom and baby are fine and healthy.
